Lawrence Koppelman
Chairman of the BoardWith over 40 years of mortgage lending and banking experience, Mr. Koppelman is the President of Koppelman & Co. From 1981 to 1993, he was the Managing Director of Western Bank Mortgage Company, originating over $1 billion annually in mortgage loans. Currently, Mr. Koppelman is a board member on four real estate funds. In the past, he served on the Board of Directors of Direct Relief International and was a member of the Fannie Mae Western Advisory Board.

Jeff DeVine
President and Chief Executive OfficerPresident and Chief Executive Officer Mr. DeVine has more than 20 years of experience in banking, with the last 17 years spent in Santa Barbara. Over his career, he has held positions in commercial, retail, private and investment banking. Prior to joining American Riviera Bank in 2008, he led the Commercial Real Estate Division for Rabobank in California. Mr. DeVine was a Regional President at Mid-State Bank & Trust when Mid-State was acquired by Rabobank in 2007.
Mr. DeVine graduated from UC San Diego with a bachelor's degree in Quantitative Economics. He later attended Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington, where he graduated with honors. Mr. DeVine is currently Secretary of the Lobero Theatre Foundation, Co-Chair of the steering committee for the South Coast Business and Technology Awards Dinner and a member of Premier Professionals of Santa Barbara. He has held previous board positions with nonprofits including Court Appointed Special Advocates and the Los Padres Council of Boy Scouts of America.
Mr. DeVine is multi-year recipient of the “Who’s Who in Banking and Finance” as well as “40 Under 40” designations from the Pacific Coast Business Times. He enjoys distance running, and has competed in 5 marathons with a personal best 3:03 at Santa Barbara in 2011.

Frank Burgess
Mr. Burgess was the Founder, in 1974, and currently a Director of Madison Investment Holdings, Inc. a portfolio management firm with $16 billion of assets under management, located in Madison, WI, Chicago, IL, New York, NY and Scottsdale, AZ. The firm is broad based, managing 40 mutual funds, individual managed accounts and institutional accounts. Investment styles include large and mid-cap equities, international equities, asset allocation strategies and intermediate duration fixed income. In 1994, Mr. Burgess helped organize, and is currently a director of Capitol Bankshares Inc. of Madison, WI, serving on the Investment, Compensation and Loan Committees. Darren D. Caesar
Mr. Caesar is a licensed insurance broker and agent specializing in all forms of insurance coverage for the community bank market. He is currently President of Tecis Limited Liability Company, and Senior Vice President with Talbot Caesar & Seider Insurance Services. Currently he is an Executive and Governance Committee Member, and Chair of the Planning and Risk Management Committee for the Channel Islands YMCA, where he is responsible for the review of capital expansion plans.

Joe Campanelli
Mr. Campanelli has been head of a successful general contracting firm headquartered in Santa Barbara for over 35 years, specializing in custom residential, commercial and green building. He served two terms as President of the Santa Barbara Contractors Association established in 1948, and is currently a director of the non-profit environmental education foundation. He received multiple "Builder of the Year" awards for residential, commercial, and environmental building work. He continues to serve on the board of the Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra, UCSB Economic Forecast and is a founder of the Green Building Alliance.

Michael Giles
Mr. Giles worked as a senior executive with Merrill Lynch in London where he served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the International Banking Group, which included six wholly-owned subsidiary banks and securities brokerage subsidiaries in over 30 countries. Earlier in his career, Mr. Giles was employed with Citibank working internationally in the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Greece, and Saudi Arabia (Middle East headquarters) in charge of commercial and government banking. Mr. Giles has substantial experience in commercial, investment and private banking. He has had interaction with various regulatory agencies, including the New York State Banking Department, London Financial Services Authority, Federal Reserve and Securities and Exchange Commission. Currently, Mr. Giles serves as Treasurer on the Board of the Foundation for Santa Barbara City College, and Director of Direct Relief International. Jody Dolan Holehouse CPA, CMA
Ms. Holehouse is a partner in the firm of Nasif, Hicks, Harris & Co., LLP. She serves individual and business clients in tax planning and preparation, accounting and business analysis. Ms. Holehouse began her accounting career with Sloan Technology Corporation. Her early public accounting experience was with Bartlett, Pringle & Wolf. Ms. Holehouse is a past president and current member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants Channel Counties Chapter and the Institute of Management Accountants Santa Barbara Chapter. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Western Pension Benefits Conference. Ms. Holehouse earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with high honors from University of California at Santa Barbara. In our community, Ms. Holehouse is a past president of the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise and Girls Incorporated of Greater Santa Barbara. She is current president of the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise Charitable Foundation and a founding board member and Chief Financial Officer of the San Marcos High School AAPLE Foundation.

Joe Howell
Mr. Howell has been a business and transactions attorney in Santa Barbara since 1974 and is a founding partner of the local law firm of Howell Moore & Gough LLP. He represents individuals and business entities, from startups to seasoned enterprises, in a variety of industries and professions, devoting much of his practice to mergers, acquisitions and sale of business transactions. Mr. Howell has been active in many non-profit and community endeavors; he currently serves on the Santa Barbara County Board of Education and is past president and a current Board member of Santa Barbara Partners in Education and Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table.

Douglas Margerum
Mr. Margerum is the owner and wine maker at Margerum Wine Company. Mr. Margerum owned and operated the Wine Cask in Santa Barbara from 1981 to 2007 and is now a partner in the re-opened Wine Cask. Margerum Wine Company currently produces three primary wines: SYBARITE, ÜBER Syrah, and M5. Mr. Margerum also produces the wine for Happy Canyon Vineyards, is the consulting wine maker for Cent'Anni, and is a wine importer.

Guy Taylor
Equi-Trax Asset Solutions, LP was launched in July of 2008. Equi-Trax Asset Solutions, LP provides collateral valuation tools, property valuations, inspections, portfolio analytics and customized solutions to financial institutions, Banks, Savings and Loans, Wall Street Firms, Credit Unions and Hedge Funds. The company is headquartered in Santa Barbara, California. Previously, Mr. Taylor served as Senior Vice President and Regional Sales Manager for Aurora Loan Services, a Lehman Brothers Company. Prior to his current employment, Mr. Taylor served as Senior Vice President, Western Division Manager of Bank of America, subsequently NationsBank. He has worked actively in the mortgage banking industry for 35 years and has served as a senior executive with various organizations. He previously served two terms on the Board of Directors for the California Mortgage Bankers Association.
